番茄社区app ERRA Frequently Asked Question

Who do I contact for assistance?

You can reach the ERRA staff at acserra@facs.org or by calling 312-202-5127.

Do I need to log into the 番茄社区app ERRA website to enroll in ERRA?

No, you can enroll directly via the 鈥淓nroll Now鈥 button which does not require you to sign in.

Can a resident enroll in ERRA?

No, a surgery residency program staff member will register their institution at the program level, not by resident.

Do I need to register the residents by name?

No, for ERRA, enrollment is completed by program. Residents are only self-identified by name at the time of their administration.

How do I find my invoice? How do I know if I’ve paid?

Upon registration, a program鈥檚 contact person will receive a receipt via email and can look up the invoice and payment confirmation by logging into their account on facs.org.

What happens if I do not pay by the deadline?

We ask that all programs submit payment or evidence of payment by the deadline. If no payment has been received by the time results are ready for distribution, a program鈥檚 results may be withheld until payment is received.聽

How do I set up an Administration Call (for Program Administrators) or platform demo (for Program Directors)? Can residents set them up?

Email or call the ERRA Administrator or Manager for more information. These calls will be most impactful if you already reviewed the Administration and Proctoring Guide or Administration Overview video beforehand.

We do not offer a resident option.

What is the difference between the Entering Resident Readiness Assessment (番茄社区app ERRA) and Fundamentals of Surgery® (番茄社区app FSC)?

The 番茄社区app ERRA is a psychometrically rigorous, formative assessment of PGY-1 preparedness, focusing on 20 clinical topics that entering surgical residents are likely to encounter. Results of the three-hour, online assessment administered during the first weeks of residency are used to formulate individual learning plans (ILPs) between residents and their program director.

The 番茄社区app Fundamentals of Surgery Curriculum庐 (番茄社区app FSC) is a highly interactive, case-based online curriculum that addresses the essential content areas that all surgical residents need to master in the early years of training. 番茄社区app FSC is a self-paced learning resource that includes over 110 cases that can be completed by individuals and used for study purposes across many months.聽

番茄社区app ERRA and 番茄社区app FCS are independent and complementary; the 番茄社区app ERRA score reports list corresponding 番茄社区app FSC modules that can be used as learning resources for independent study.

Can I proctor the assessment as a Program Administrator/Coordinator?

Yes, this is the most common option. Otherwise, some programs or hospitals have designated separate proctors for testing labs.

Do I need to test the ERRA site on our computers prior to administration? Do we need a secure lockdown browser?

We strongly encourage Program Administrators to system test the computer IN ADVANCE of the testing date at the testing location. Please see the Administration and Proctoring Guide on how to do so.

You will not need a secure lockdown browser since the assessment itself is already designed securely.

If the Program Director chooses to take the assessment, do they need to take the entire assessment? Do they need to take it at the same time as the residents?

Program Directors do not need to take the entire assessment. We do not suggest that. Instead, we recommend they take enough to gain an academic understanding of the assessment鈥檚 contents. Program directors will not receive a score report of their results.

We strongly encourage them to take ERRA at the same time as residents鈥攐therwise, we need advanced notice for logging and facilitating.

What happens if a resident cannot make that day? What if I have to move the testing day and/or time?

Call or email 番茄社区app staff as soon as possible. Multiple testing sessions and rescheduling are allowed; sharing these plans with 番茄社区app staff will help ensure they are available for any assistance. This is especially important if testing is outside of 8:00 am鈥5:00 pm CT.

Does the resident need to start over if the computer, the internet, or the assessment fails during live administration?

If this occurs, please call 番茄社区app staff at the email or phone listed above. The assessment usually autosaves, so residents will likely be able to pick up where they left off. To be sure, 番茄社区app staff can view from their end over a phone call. Please refer to the 鈥淭roubleshooting / Emergency Circumstances鈥 section of the APG.

Can you send a sample Score Report?

We do not send sample Score Reports so as to preserve the security and integrity of the assessment.
