Rhode Island Chapter of the American College of Surgeons/Providence Surgical Society existed for many years as The Providence Surgical Society. Its function was, and still is, to allow Rhode Island surgeons to meet in a spirit of camaraderie and fellowship and to present information relevant and beneficial to the practice of surgery.
